Spring

Welcome back after, what we hope was, a restful holiday.

The nursery class have started to learn about signs of Spring
(even though they are very difficult to find with all the snow!)
with a focus on farm animals and their babies.

We have been singing

and learning the nursery rhyme

Some of the children have made some Spring crafts
which can be seen on our beautiful seasonal board in the classroom.

We have been learning how to make a pattern
(the stripes on a bee) and about symmetry (spots on a ladybird).

This week we have read the books:

What the Ladybird Heard
The Scarecrows Wedding
A Squash and a Squeeze
Each, Peach, Pear, Plum

The end of another term!

This term has really flown by!
Lots of events have kept us busy,
the last two weeks being no exception.

To link with the celebration of defenders day, we have learned about 'People that help us' and we turned one of our play areas in to a fire station. This has definitely opened up the imaginations of the children as they took upon the roles of authority.

We made cards to give to our daddy's.

We have also been busy making things for our mummy's to celebrate Women's Day.

All of the nursery staff wish you a very happy and restful holiday.
